The Chinese lion dance is a traditional form of dance with a special role in Chinese culture, aiming to bring prosperity and good luck for the upcoming year.

In the article “Chinese Lion Dances: What It Is and What Does It Symbolize?” two distinct styles of lion dances, namely the southern and northern styles, are introduced. This is why I’ve created illustrations depicting both variations of the lion dance in this editorial piece.
